That’s right folks, it’s that time of again. Time for Myrtle Beach’s premier beer festival Monk-A-Palooza. The festival will be this Saturday, August 27. Monk-A-Palooza is brought to you by our favorite bar in Carolina Forest, The Grumpy Monk.
The event formally starts at 3pm, but come early and stay late to enjoy the indoor atmosphere and stellar craft beer selection The Monk has indoors as well. The Grumpy Monk isn’t just about the beer but has an outstanding menu including some of the best sushi and wingsI’ve had anywhere. The wings are smoked on site at the restaurant so you know they haven’t been cooked, pre-packaged, and then re-heated.
Monk-A-Palooza will feature 31 local and national breweries offering over 200 beers.
Along with their beer selection inside Monk-A-Palooza will feature 31 local and national breweries offering over 200 beers. General admission is free, and beer tickets will cost $1. Beer outside at the event will be served in 8-ounce glasses and cost 2-4 tickets. Beer purchased inside will be served in 8 and 16-ounce glasses and vary in price. But these tickets don’t just get you an outstanding selection of the country’s best craft beers, they are also used to win prizes.
